Cookie Magic
Today at Cub Scout Den Meeting, the boys and I made cookies. It was a very simple, cake mix cookie recipe. The boys were so well behaved. They were smiling and thoughtful and didn't complain even once about having to wash their hands (for the third time). And then...they shared the cookies with a group of girls nearby.
What happened to my 8 and 9 yr-old scouts? They turned all civilized on me!
Here is the recipe in case you are curious if your kids will turn civilized too:
EASY MAGIC COOKIES
1 box cake mix (any type)
4 T melted butter
1 beaten egg
1 t vanilla extract
1/2-3/4 cup chocolate chips
Combine ingredients in a large bowl. Mix until well blended. Add chocolate chips. Scoop 1 T dough into a ball. (It helps to roll dough into pretty ball..makes for prettier cookies). Place balls on an ungreased baking sheet, spaced evenly apart. Bake at 375 degrees for 7-9 minutes.
Maybe they are called magic cookies because the kids are hypnotized by them or something.
