Prayers for a Friend

Rob has been my husband's best friend since high school. He was the best man at our wedding. Despite not living in the same city (or state for much of the time) for the past decade, our families have stayed close. His wife, Angi, and I became good friends. I think I understood her in ways that most others in her life could not. Before today, it had been a couple of months since we last talked with our friends.

This morning we got a call from Rob's sister. Angi had been in a car accident last night and died. Another driver crossed the median on the freeway and hit her head on. She was driving home to the little town up north from a nursing shift down here in the big city. My husband is now driving the couple hours north to be there for his dear friend.

If you are the praying type, would you please ask for blessings for Rob and his three beautiful children. Also, pray for my husband as he hurries there that he will know how to best comfort and support them.

Thank you.

Oh, that is so sad.

I got a call today that my niece was in a bad car accident last night. The car was totalled, and the DPS officer said that it is a miracle that she survived the accident. She had a bad laceration on her arm, and was very beat up. They did a CAT scan of her head and body (she lost consciousness) and all was well. We are so thankful she is okay.
