Ring Ring.."Hello?" Telephone Hits the Wall

Just a quick thank you.

Thank you to time! Thank you time for passing quickly enough that Election Day is here!
No more phone calls from candidates family members telling me why I should vote for so-and-so. No more phone calls from party headquarters telling me I need to be sure to go vote for everyone in my party. No more recordings. No more ringing phones with nobody on the other end.
Thank you time. I took care of those pesky ads on TV (Tivo- - Thank you), but I had to answer the phone..as I have a life...after all.

They need to make a no call list for political advertising too. I think it is slimy that the list I'm already on has such exclusions.

Finally--

If you haven't voted yet? Go vote. Just because they are all annoying, irritating ________ (I don't say the words that come to mind to finish this sentence..) doesn't mean we shouldn't do our best to put the lesser of the evils into office...which ever way you see that tipping.

Ok..back to our regular programming.

Update:

I just got a phone call (recording) from Luis Gonzalez. While I loved him as Diamondback..I'm not sure he's who I should listen to about voting...what do you think?

Yup, I just got a phone call about five minutes ago. I'm an absentee balloter, so it is doubly annoying.

Thank GOD it's Election Day. I got a prerecorded call today letting me know that some polling places were closed because of flooding . . .blah blah blah . . . hopefully that was the very last one.

I never thought of elections from this point of view before.

I don't think we get quite as bombarded as you.

During our last federal election, I didn't see or hear from one candidate!

Sounds like you get more of those in the States than we do, but, like so many other things, our politicians are learning from yours.

Sarah Elaine and Heather are right; we don't get the nearly same amount of attention although we do have municipal elections coming up, and we have received a number of knocks on the door.
