Happy Thanksgiving! And Some Catchup on Top
Hello blog world...
The most interesting times in life are often the toughest times to pause to talk about it all....
My son...more my son's brain appeared perfectly normal on the MRI. I've had this news for a week and yet I haven't paused to share it. I sincerely appreciate your comments of support. My son has continued to have some of the odd symptoms. If they keep up much longer, we will be visiting the pediatrician again seeking some form of migraine relief. For now, we are working on eliminating his triggers. He has been very sad to not get to eat hot dogs anymore. Especially when his sister ratted him out to the lunch lady about it.
The holidays are always a busy time for me. I know..this is obvious. I have five children. I come from a large family. And I am very involved in my church. (Not to mention the Cub Scout stuff..). So, I am going to be (continuing) posting infrequently I think. However come the start of the new year, I think I will seek solice in blogging once again.
Soccer season ended this last Saturday.(YAY!!!). We had a little party in the park and it was a beautiful day..and I was feeling extremely relieved to see the end of it. I just don't know what I'm going to do with myself this coming Saturday morning (LOL yeah right...I'm sure I will overfill this Saturday as much as the past 8 that included soccer games..).
The weather here has been warm. I know..I live in Phoenix...but still it has been unseasonably warm. It has been in the mid 80's for the past week. Which means, my kids (who have very little true understanding of what cold is..) have been wearing jackets to school in the morning only to forget them in their desks before coming home. Let's just say when the 6 yr-old little girl cannot find a sweater/light jacket at home but has five at school...there's a problem. I keep hoping it will get cold enough that she will actually need the jacket on the way home too. Then they may actually all come home. LOL...
I want to wish you all the Happiest of Thanksgivings...(I know this is a bit belated for my Canadian friends..but I wish it for you too..).
Enjoy the four day weekend!
Today is my husband's birthday. We celebrated by going to Olive Garden for lunch (just the two of us...wow!). I had the wait staff all sing to him. It was very silly and he was a good sport. So wish my Murman a very Happy Birthday.
Finally, as I spend Friday after Thanksgiving shapping...(yes I am ONE of THEM...) I will probably spend much time afterward recooperating. I'll report on that adventure next week. After all, every year is an adventure when shopping black Friday..(just don't ask me about 2am at Wal-mart...that was a huge mistake that year..and I was pregnant at the time..ugh!)
Oh..one more thing...yes I said Finally above but I remember something else I wish I had the time to devote an entire post to..
I entered a short story a nonfiction piece and a couple of poems into a couple contests. One contest is for the literary mag at the college I am attending and the other is a contest held by the community college district offices. I was only able to enter as I am a student there...(Just the one class but that counts.) This is the first time I've submitting my work into a contest let alone a publisher. So..send positive thoughts along with my papers.. Thanks!

Oshee- Happy Thanksgiving, Happy Birthday, and happy shopping!
Glad to hear your son is ok.
And good vibes being sent eastward...
Happy Thanksgiving to you (even though we've long finished ours).
And Happy Birthday to the hubby.
Good vibes goin' your way...
Have a good weekend, and good luck on the contest.
Good to hear the positive news on the MRI... and my well-wishes go along with your paper. I have one due shortly as well *sigh* and sleep is drawing very near.
Rest and be well.
Glad your son's brain is normal.
Have you tried regulating his sleep patterns?
If I sleep in for even an extra half hour, that is a migraine trigger for me. Having the same sleep schedule all week long has really helped me.

What Gina said.
Ok, lets see here. I'm glad about your son. Hopefully avoiding his triggers will help. I went out on black Friday too, not as bad as I thought it would be. And oh...good luck in the contests.
hey oshee, I am envying both the warmth and lunch at Olive Garden.
Happy Holiday
Thank God! Where have I been to have missed this! That must have been terrifying!
I am so thankful that his brain scan was normal.
Hopefully the docs will help you find a medicine that will help control his migraines.
