A Story? Yep, A Story. Is it long? Yeah, It's Kinda Long, But Read It Anyway, ok? Ok!
I am feeling SILLY! I absolutely Love it!
The past couple of weeks I have been working on my longest assignment for my Creative Writing class. It is a piece of short fiction. I honestly haven't actually completed a short story in a long long time. I write the non-fiction personal essays all the time. You see a lot of them here. I feel quite a sense of accomplishment having actually finished a rough draft of my story. I am going to put a link here to it, so you can all read it and tell me how wonderful I am. LOL
Ok, I am really not that egotistical. The euphoria of having finished is a great high! I am sure I will reread it in a week or so and wonder what I was thinking. But before I get to talking myself out of it here ya go.

Was it supposed to end on Page 20? Right after she agreed to meet her husband and her uncle?
I'd better go read that last page again.
At the same place? Same time? Leaving us hanging?
Good story.
Catching up - sorry. I just saw your post which mentioned Enya and Shephard Moons.
How Can I Keep From Singing is one of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard. I knew it before she came out with the cd but hers leaves me almost in tears every time.
Good for you, Oshee! That's awesome! Though I was surprised at the ending, too. She's meeting Doug at the same spot?
I'm very impressed.
Wow. I thoroughly enjoyed reading that story. I had to shush my daughter twice while reading it because I actually didn't want to pause. You do a wonderful job of leading the reader into the next page....no stopping points. Heartfelt and descriptive...very fine work. I rather like the ending. It was well placed. I think she's getting ready to do the "I told you so dance."
Thank you for sharing. Now I've got to go find out what my daughter wanted.
Cool story. I actually had a similar experience with a family member I didn't know existed and I was hoping that she was related to Evan!
So do you know in your mind the way the meeting went or do you leave a big question mark for yourself as well? I'm always curious about the creative process.
Oh, I forgot to tell you, I added you to my blogroll, just in time for your story!
I liked it! It was very suspenseful, in a very good way.
Thank you for the thoughtful comments. I so appreciate that you all have taken the time to give me more than a quick...cool story oshee...
Yes it is suppose to leave you hanging. I plan to go back in my edits and improve the feeling of knowing what is likely to happen at the meetings. To help alleviate some of the feeling of being just dropped.
I've got alot of catching up to do!
Am heading ver right now to have a great read.... I love your REVIEWS...grabbin a coffee and reading.
I was surprised by the ending, I wanted to skip ahead and see what happened -- but then I realized it ended in the best possible way.
I loved the way you used the dialogue and character development to advance the story.
Like Mary, I'm wondering if you have it all in your mind how the meeting would go -- I like imagining Doug's surprise best of all. I'm hoping he handles it well.
Look at me, talking about them like I know them. ;-)
I can't get it. I try to click and nothing. I feel like the hundred and first person in line to buy the first 100 copies off the press!!! I shall pout.
Hope,
You probably do not have flash installed. If you'd like, my email is in my profile info. Email me and I'll reply with the story attached as a word document.
